Call for papers
Revista Criminalidad, a scientific publication of the National Police of Colombia, invites the national and international academic community to submit original and unpublished articles for evaluation and potential publication in Volume 67-3 (2025).
Topics of interest
The journal welcomes contributions in the fields of criminalistics, criminology, forensic medicine, forensic sciences, criminal law, criminal policy, victimology, psychology, and other related disciplines that address the criminal phenomenon from a scientific, interdisciplinary, and critical perspective.
Types of manuscripts accepted
- Scientific and technological research article: a document that presents in detail the original results of completed research. Its common structure includes: introduction, methodology, results, and discussion.
- Reflection article: a document that presents the results of completed research from an analytical, interpretative, or critical perspective of the author on a specific topic, based on original sources.
- Review article: a document resulting from completed research that systematizes and integrates findings from previous studies, published or not, in a specific field of science or technology. Its purpose is to demonstrate advances and trends. It requires a rigorous literature review of at least 50 references and may include bibliometric studies or systematic reviews (qualitative or meta-analyses).
- Case report: a document that describes the results of a study focused on a particular situation, highlighting the technical and methodological experiences applied. It includes a commented systematic review of literature related to similar cases.
General requirements
- Articles must be original, unpublished, and not under review by other publications.
- Manuscripts are accepted in spanish, english, or portuguese.

Evaluation process
All manuscripts will undergo a preliminary review by the editorial and scientific Committee. Those that pass this stage will be peer-reviewed under a double-blind system to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific relevance of the content.

Manuscripts must be submitted through the Revista Criminalidad OJS platform, along with the statement of originality, available at:
