Privacy Statement

The National Police of Colombia would like to inform that in compliance with the provisions of Statutory Law 1581 of 2012, in accordance with the provisions of Decree 1377 of 2013, and other legal regulations in force for the processing of personal data, it discloses to all persons whose personal data are managed in our databases, that these will be used for the following purposes:

1. To carry out the procedures and services that the National Police is responsible for in the exercise of its functions.
2. Publicize the services offered by the National Police.
3. Participate in events organized by the National Police.
4. Invite people to citizen participation events.
5. Evaluate the quality of the services offered by the National Police.

The use and management of the same is carried out under strict standards of responsibility, among which is respect for due process and the protection of information.

In any case, at any time the owner of the information may revoke their consent and exercise their right to the deletion of personal data enshrined in Statutory Law 1581 of 2012. It is important to note that the request for the deletion of personal information and the revocation of the authorization for the processing of personal data will not proceed when the owner of such data has a legal or contractual duty to remain in the database and/or files of the National Police, nor while the relationship between the owner and the aforementioned Police Institution is in force.  by virtue of which the data were collected.
